Doing the right thing by people and planet, and helping our clients to drive profit, is what makes Fleet Street so good at what it does. And it’s why today marks an important milestone, as we celebrate that our business is now B Corp Certified.
While Fleet Street is fast-becoming known as the agency of choice for brands and organisations in hospitality and retail who are creating positive impact, we also wanted to proactively walk in our clients’ shoes – and demonstrate our commitment to being a force for good. And now as a certified B Corporation, we’re giving our clients another reason to partner with us.
The B Corp process has helped us assess every aspect of our business and shine a light what we’re doing well, such as social impact and governance, and highlight areas for development, like measuring our environmental impact, and working to lower our footprint. As a result of the assessment, we now have a strong baseline, against which we’re measuring future progress.
As a business, Fleet Street works hard to foster a vibrant, energetic culture, where our people can develop and grow. We want everyone in our team to feel they’re doing their bit to build the future economy, whilst doing their best work with leading hospitality and retail businesses.
In a way, the B Corp movement is a good illustration of how the measurement of commercial success in our economy is being redefined. Profit is and will always be crucial; without that, businesses cannot exist. But added to this now are two increasingly important measures (and two more p’s) – people and planet; the so-called new triple-bottom line.
We are delighted to be part of a collective that is redefining what commercial success looks like, by shaping a global movement for better business. It’s about striving to be more inclusive and equitable, and working to build a more regenerative economy. And we couldn’t be prouder to be part of the journey.
